Six people were killed and 13 were injured in two bomb blasts in Afghanistan on Thursday, while nine security force members died in a helicopter crash on Wednesday, officials said.
Four people were killed and nine wounded when a roadside bomb hit a bus carrying Afghan government employees in Kabul on Thursday morning.
The bus was carrying the Afghan Ministry of Information and Technology employees, said Abdul Samad Hamid Poya, a ministry adviser.
A blast in eastern Nangarhar province killed two civilians and injured four others on Thursday afternoon.
Security sources said the blast took place in the 5th police district of Jalalabad city. The bomber struck in front of a convoy of troops, they added.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks. But the Afghan government has blamed Taliban for recent attacks targeting government employees, civil society figures and journalists.
However, Taliban has denied their involvement in bombings.
CHOPPER CRASH: Meanwhile, a defence ministry statement said on Thursday that four crew and five special forces members had been killed in a helicopter crash late on Wednesday.
Sources said the helicopter crashed when a rocket hit during take off in central Maidan Wardak province.
It was not clear who fired the rocket and there have been no claims of responsibility.
The ministry said it was investigating the crash.
An airforce source said the helicopter had been on a supply mission that included transporting the body of a soldier and wounded members of the military.
The bombings come on the day the Afghan government, Taliban and key countries, including the United States and Russia, gather in Moscow to push for a reduction in violence to propel the Afghan peace process forward.
