Terror suspect killed in Karachi, five arrested by CTD

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Karachi killed one terror suspect and arrest five others on Sunday, after an exchange of fire between both sides lasting more than an hour.

According to CTD in-charge Raja Umar Khattab, the terrorists occupied a building in Shah Latif Town, and the CTD took action against them following a tip-off.

He said that the terrorists had parked a rickshaw, with explosives stored in its hidden compartments, in front of the building gate. The men were fully prepared for a major terror activity, Khattab said.

According to the bomb disposal squad, four suicide jackets, 15 grenades, four Kalashnikovs, hundreds of bullets and two rockets were recovered from the terrorists’ possession. They have been sent for forensic examinations.
