‘Tabdeeli is on its way out,’ tweets Maryam

The leadership of the Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is sharing sarcastic remarks against the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) after its “humiliating” defeat in the local government elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Vice President Maryam Nawaz made an apparent reference in her tweet to the PTI’s disappointing performance in the elections, saying that “tabdeeli (change) is on its way out.”

Taking a jibe at the PTI’s famous slogan of bringing a “tabdeeli” (change) in the country, she tweeted: “After being shamed, slandered and cursed millions of times, pushing a nation of 220 million into a mire of inflation, lawlessness and incompetence … tabdeeli is on its way out.”

Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also vent his anger on Twitter saying that the “party (PTI) who has been calling KP its stronghold, could not win local body elections.”
