Special plane to bring first batch of COVID-19 vaccine leaves for China: NCOC

All the necessary measures have been put in place for vaccine storage in Islamabad

A special plane of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has left for China for the transportation of the first tranche of COVID-19 vaccine. In addition to this, a comprehensive strategy has also been formulated to administer the vaccine in the country by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC).

All necessary measures have been put in place for vaccine storage in Islamabad. Transportation of the COVID-19 vaccine to the provinces and specifically Sindh and Balochistan will be done by air.

Vaccine nerve centre has been established at the NCOC with provincial and district level vaccine administration/coordination centres and adult vaccination centres which will be working in coordination.

Yesterday, it was reported that special plane will leave for China in the next 48 hours.
