KARACHI: The Sindh government has lifted the ban on pillion riding and inter-city transport from Saturday, which was imposed as part of lockdown restrictions in the province, said Murtaza Wahab.
Addressing a press conference, a spokesman for the Sindh government said that the provincial government had issued the new directives that will come into force.
Sindh Saturday’s home department issued a circular that mentioned that restriction of pillion riding and inter-city transportation is waived-off in this connection.
Earlier, the government had announced that travel in groups without keeping a distance of over three feet between individuals is strictly prohibited.
“Pillion riding on motorbikes and city transportation are therefore not permitted in any case,” the notification had stated.
The spokesman of the Sindh government said that transportation and pillion riding are being opened for the vaccination.
However, the Sindh government has decided to continue lockdown in the whole province till August 8, 2021.
