The Sindh government has decided to impose a complete lockdown in the province to curb the rising coronavirus cases amid a positivity rate of 30 per cent.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the provincial task force on coronavirus chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Friday. The lockdown will come into effect from Saturday; however, the export industries have been granted an exemption.
- The government has decided that its offices along with private offices would remain closed for one week starting Monday. It has also decided to dock the salaries of employees who have not been vaccinated. The markets, barring essentials such as medical stores, will remain closed across the province.
