Shehroze Kashif becomes youngest Pakistani ever to summit Mount Everest

Shehroze Kashif, a 19 year old Pakistani has become the youngest ever from Pakistan to summit Mount Everest, according to his team. Kashif left Camp 4 on Monday night to begin the climb and shared his tracker with his friends and team.

The official Twitter page of Everest also congratulated Shehroze on achieving this milestone, “JUST IN: Shehroze Kashif, 19, just became the youngest Pakistani on the summit of Mt #Everest (8848.86 m). CONGRATULATIONS!”

Ever since he was a child, Kashif always had this dream to climb Everest. Speaking about it, he said, “Now after 10 years, my dream is about to become a reality,” he remarked, adding that he is ready to raise Pakistan’s flag on top of the world’s tallest mountain. “I cannot thank my family enough, my dad in particular, for supporting my passion since my childhood.”

Pakistani climbers who have achieved this feat include Mirza Ali Baig, Samina Baig, Abdul Jabbar Bhatti, Hassan Sadpara, and Nazir Sabir.

The Bahrain Royal Guard team, including Price Sheikh Mohammad Hamad Mohammad Ali Khalifa, have also successfully climbed the mountain. They reportedly stood at peak between 4:50 am to 6:00 am PST.

Last week, the veteran Nepali climber Kami Rita Sherpa reached the summit of Mount Everest for the 25th time. He broke his own record of climbing the world’s highest mountain most number of time.
