Shafqat Mehmood discusses Single National Curriculum with British High Commissioner

British High Commissioner Christian Turner called upon the federal minister's office today alongside Anabel Gerry, the Development Director of the UK in Pakistan group.

Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood discussed the Single National Curriculum (SNC) among other issues with the British High Commissioner to Pakistan today.

Sharing the update on his Twitter account, Shafqat Mehmood said that matters pertaining to the SNC and the broadening of the UK’s ongoing support for education in Pakistan were discussed.

The Single National Curriculum is described on the Ministry of Education’s website as “one system of education for all, in terms of curriculum, medium of instruction and a common platform of assessment so that all children have a fair and equal opportunity to receive high-quality education.”

It is scheduled to be implemented across Pakistan from August 2021.
