From “Clueless” to “Friends”, Paul Rudd has always been a heartthrob and recently the charm intensified when he was crowned as the Sexiest Man Alive.

The honour was given to Rudd by the People Magazine. The title was revealed in an  extended comedy sketch of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”.

Colbert made Rudd go through a series of “sexiness” tests. One of the tests also included a physical exam and a Westminster Dog Show-style judging round. The series of tests also dealt with photo shoots that featured Rudd doing a variety of tasks. In some pictures he pulled off playing construction worker and in some a monk. It was done to show off whether he could pull off being sexy in any look.

The test series ended with Rudd pouring a gallon of water over his head, “Help me, I’m drowning in sexiness.”

After all the tests, a serious-looking Colbert told Rudd he “tested negative for sexy” to which the actor began to walk away in visible disappointment after thanking Colbert for the opportunity. Soon, Colbert and a roomful of people dressed in white lab coats begin to clap as Colbert chanted “There’s nothing sexier than humility … and you passed! Paul, you’re the sexiest man alive.”

“I’m the sexiest man alive?!” Rudd asked in disbelief as he covered his mouth before being crowned, given flowers and a beauty-pageant banner reading, “SEXIEST MAN ALIVE”

The “Clueless” star hoped he is invited to “some of those sexy dinners with Clooney and Pitt and B Jordan.”

Talking to the magazine, Rudd said, “I mean I’m going to lean into it hard. I’m going to own this. I’m not going to try to be like ‘Oh, I’m so modest.’ I’m getting business cards made.”

Rudd has recently been starred in Sony’s “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” which is expected to hit theaters later this month. He also starred in “Role Models,” which he helped write, and held a feature role as Mike Hannigan on the hit sitcom “Friends.”
