PTI has received exceptional support from the establishment: Shehbaz Sharif

Monday, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif claimed that the establishment has not given the level of support to any other government in the country’s history as it has given to the current PTI-led government.

The president added that the current government had come into power through a “back door’ and were ineligible and incapable.

On his visit to the Mazar-e-Quaid Shehbaz remarked that “Those of whom the people vote into power should be given the opportunity to serve them,” he remarked.

Shahbaz Shareef claimed that PMLN’s only demand was that the 2023 general elections be held transparently.

Recalling the tenure of the previous government, Shehbaz said, “The 20-hour daily load-shedding in the country didn’t vanish magically; it was eliminated due to Nawaz Sharif’s hard work and struggle.”

To a question related to Karachi’s development, the former chief minister said, “Smaller provinces won’t progress until the country progresses. The green-line bus project was a gift of the PML-N for the people of Karachi.”

While responding to another question, Shehbaz said, “[Pakistan] People’s Party is a political party and a reality.”

“I was chosen as the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly by all political parties and it is my responsibility to take every party on board,” he concluded.

Sunday, Opposition Leader and PMLN President Shahbaz Sharif stated that he wanted to see Karachi a developed city before his demise, with tears in his eyes.

While addressing the crowd the president got sentimental and commented that Karachi was receiving a “step motherly’ treatment from the centre. He talked about the problems faced by the people of Karachi.

Sharif vowed that “If given a chance in teh next election, the PMLN will change the fate of Karachi”, he claimed that all problems of the city will be solved in PMLN’s reign. He emphasized that the entire countries fate was tied with Karachi.

Shehbaz had arrived in Karachi on Friday to attend an important meeting and a jalsa of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).

Maulana Fazlur rehman the Opposition’s alliance chief announced the increase of protests across the country, claiming that PPP had stabbed Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in the back. He announced that PDM will be marching towards Islamabad “with a sea of people” to topple the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Fazl, speaking at a press conference in Karachi alongside Shehbaz and other political leaders, told the reporters to not discuss PPP as it was “a thing of the past”.
