PML-Q has expressed its dissatisfaction with the government owing to price hikes and record-breaking inflation.

The parliamentary party said that it has become extremely difficult to continue supporting the government of PTI. PTI is the ruling party in Punjab and has formed the federal government.

The parliamentary party members expressed their anger against the government saying that the common man was suffering and the PML-Q members were unable to face their voters in their respective constituencies.

The Punjab president of PML-Q, Parvez Elahi chaired a meeting in which concerns pertaining to the constantly rising inflation, petrol prices, electricity and gas prices as well as the value of the dollar were discussed. It also discussed the deteriorating law and order situation in the province.

The parliamentary party announced that the members had unanimously agreed to let Elahi make decisions on behalf of the party.

Amongst the members in attendance at the meeting were, federal ministers Tariq Bashir Cheema, Moonis Elahi, Senator Kamil Ali Agha, MNAs Husain Elahi Salik Husain, Mrs. Farrukh Khan as well as provincial ministers Bao Rizwan and Hafiz Ammar Yasir.
