In the platinum category, Hasan Ali was the first pick of the day as Islamabad United used the wildcard to pick him. Chris Lynn, the hard-hitting batsmen from Quetta goes to Multan Sultan. Chirs Gayle, the universe boss is back to light up the PSL after a gap of three and was picked by Quetta Gladiators. Lahore Qalandars picked Rashid Khan. Zalmi strengthened their middle order with David Miller.

In the Diamond category, Islamabad United bagged England’s all-rounder Lewis Gregory, who last season represented Zalmi. Karachi Kings picked up Muhammad Nabi from Afghanistan while Peshawar Zalmi took Mujeeb ur Rehman and Sherfane Rutherford in this category.

All six franchises had the option to retain up to eight players from their 2020 squads. Peshawar Zalmi were the only side to retain only five players and more surprisingly they parted ways with the in-form Hasan Ali after five years. Here is a look at the retentions made by the franchises.
