Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Medical and Sports Sciences head, Dr Sohail Saleem has resigned from his post after the postponement of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The final approval on the resignation will be given by Chairman Ehsan Mani and CEO Wasim Khan.
This resignation comes after many loopholes were pointed out in the bio-secure bubble for the sixth edition of the PSL.
Sami ul Hasan Burney, PCB’s Director Media said, “Dr Sohail has sent his resignation to Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani. He added that the PCB chairman and chief executive Wasim Khan will give the final approval on the resignation.
He further added that if the resignation is accepted then Dr Sohail will have to serve a month-long notice period. He will also help the inquiry committee which will investigate the reasons behind the bio-secure bubble breach.
On March 4, the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was postponed abruptly due to rising COVID-19 cases among players and support staff.
