The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has listed 20 countries whose passengers don’t require a PCR test to enter Pakistan.
These countries have been placed in Category A and include Australia, Bhutan, China, Fiji, Japan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Mongolia, Mauritania, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Trinidad and Tobago and Vietnam.
Furthermore, the CAA has extended the travel restrictions for International passengers arriving from category C countries till May 4.
The countries, categorised as C, are South Africa, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Comoros, Mozambique, Zambia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Malawi, Seychelles, Somalia, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela and India.
The restrictions will also be imposed on the Pakistani passport holders, NICOP [National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis] and POC [Pakistan Origin Card] holders.
However, those coming from countries in the B travel category will have to make sure a negative Covid PCR report at a maximum of 90 hours before boarding, the notification read.
