Pakistan’s organic meat company receives export approval from Chinese customs

The company already exports fresh, frozen, and boneless beef meat to Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Azerbaijan.

The Organic Meat Company Limited (TOMCL) has received approval for exports from China’s customs authority. The company announced this in a notice at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) today.

The Organic Meet Company Limited got approval to export heat-treated meat to China.

The company already exports fresh, frozen, and boneless beef meat to Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Azerbaijan.

TOMCL is the first company from Pakistan to initiate the export of vacuum-packed fresh beef. It owns the technology to vacuum pack or blast freeze mutton and quarter beef carcasses.

TOMCL has also been granted export permissions from Iraq, Kuwait, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Egypt, the CIS States, Oman, Qatar, Maldives, and Bahrain. This is the largest market access for any halal meat processor in Pakistan.

TOMCL is a public limited company quoted on the PSX and was registered under the Companies Ordinance, 1984 (now the Companies Act, 2017). It is a public interest company as defined in the third schedule to the Companies Act, 2017.

The company specialises in beef, mutton, and edible offal of the grass-fed and free-range animals from agricultural lands in Pakistan.
