After a decline in the COVID-19 cases in the country, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has decided to increase the number of flights from Europe, Canada, UK, China and Malaysia.
This new air travel plan will come in to effect from July 1.
As as result of this decision, there will an increase of 40% in the flights coming from these countries. However, the arriving passengers will have to undergo a mandatory COVID-19 test before departing for Pakistan.

In the last 24 hours, Pakistan recorded 901 new COVID-19 cases while 23 people lost their lives due to COVID-19, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Sindh.
As of June 27, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 32,241. On Sunday, 44,544 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 11,903; Punjab: 18,528; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 9,605; Islamabad(ICT): 2,848; Balochistan: 748; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB): 327 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 585.
Till now, Pakistan has recorded 22,211 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 10,721 casualties followed by Sindh: 5,410 KP: 4,304; Islamabad: 776; Balochistan: 307; GB: 111 and AJK: 582.
