Pakistan sees 1,272 COVID-19 infections, 52 deaths in a day

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 12,488 deaths.

In the last 24 hours, 1,272 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 52 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Sindh.

As of February 10, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 24,176. Yesterday, 36,543 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 10,691; Punjab: 12,269; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 7,175; Islamabad: 4,783; Balochistan: 596; Gilgit-Baltistan: 355 and Azad Kashmir: 674.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 240 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB and Balochistan.

A total of 567,261 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 9,629; Balochistan: 18,958; GB: 4,945; ICT: 43,029, KPK: 70,306; Punjab: 165,716 and Sindh: 254,678.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 12,488 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 5,138 casualties followed by Sindh: 4,263; KPK: 2,015; Islamabad: 487; Balochistan: 199; GB: 102 and AJK: 284.

631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,111 patients being treated. Till now, Pakistan has conducted 8,567,761 tests.
