In the last 24 hours, 1,384 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 56 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Sindh followed by Punjab.
As of February 3, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 33,184. Yesterday, 35,460 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 9,018; Punjab: 13,047; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 6,018; Islamabad: 6,248; Balochistan: 424; Gilgit-Baltistan: 324 and Azad Kashmir: 381.
Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 289 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB and Balochistan.
A total of 549,046 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 9,073; Balochistan: 18,836; GB: 4,910; ICT: 41,561, KPK: 67,589; Punjab: 158,793 and Sindh: 248,270.
Till now, Pakistan has recorded 11,802 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 4,806 casualties followed by Sindh: 4,033; KPK: 1,923; Islamabad: 475; Balochistan: 196; GB: 102 and AJK: 267.
631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,470 patients being treated. Till now, Pakistan has conducted 8,041,254 tests.
