In the last 24 hours, 1,220 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 63 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). This is the lowest number of cases registered in the country since November 2.
As of February 2, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 33,365. Yesterday, 38,813 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 10,355; Punjab: 14,879; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 6,296; Islamabad: 6,171; Balochistan: 424; Gilgit-Baltistan: 361 and Azad Kashmir: 327.
Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 295 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB and Balochistan.
A total of 547,648 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 9,050; Balochistan: 18,830; GB: 4,909; ICT: 41,493, KPK: 67,419; Punjab: 158,220 and Sindh: 247,727.
Till now, Pakistan has recorded 11,746 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 4,793 casualties followed by Sindh: 4,004; KPK: 1,912; Islamabad: 475; Balochistan: 196; GB: 102 and AJK: 264.
631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,508 patients being treated. Till now, Pakistan has conducted 8,005,794 tests.
