Pakistan registers 914 COVID-19 cases, 20 fatalities

In the last 24 hours, Pakistan recorded 20 fatalities due to COVID-19 while 914 people tested positive, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

As of June 28, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 32,225. On Sunday, 44,496 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 14,052; Punjab: 15,565; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 10,106; Islamabad(ICT): 3,180; Balochistan: 790; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB): 339 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 464.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 258 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB, and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 901,201 recoveries.

A total of 955,657 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 20,243; Balochistan: 27,064; GB: 6,019; ICT: 82,596, KP: 137,759; Punjab: 345,900 and Sindh: 336,076

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 22,231 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 10,729 casualties followed by Sindh: 5,418 KP: 4,308; Islamabad: 776; Balochistan: 307; GB: 111 and AJK: 582.
