Pakistan registers 5,152 COVID-19 cases, 73 deaths in 24 hours

The positivity rate in the country was recorded at 8.56 per cent.

The third wave of COVID-19 continues to wreak havoc as Pakistan registers 5,152 new COVID-19 infections, according to the latest statistics released by National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

Furthermore, 73 deaths have been reported. Yesterday, 64,162 tests were conducted across the country. The positivity rate in the country was recorded at 8.56 per cent while the death toll climbed to 16,316.

As far as the provinces are concerned till now Azad Kashmir (AJK) has reported 15,524 cases; Balochistan:20,940; GB:5,176; ICT: 70,079, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK):106,500; Punjab:270,338 and Sindh: 272,729.
