Pakistan registers 3,795 new cases, highest single-day tally since July

In the last 24 hours, 3,795 people tested positive for COVID-19, while 37 lost their lives according to the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). The image below gives the break down of the new infections during the last week showing an increase.

As of December 7, the total active cases in Pakistan are 55,354. Yesterday, around 39,076 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 12,720; Punjab: 14,577; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 5,550; Islamabad: 4,901; Balochistan: 224; Gilgit Baltistan: 450 and Azad Kashmir: 654

There is no shortage of vents in the country as out of 1749 vents allocated for COVID-19, only 353 are occupied. There is no patient on the vent in Balochistan, GB and AJK.

A total of 420,294 cases detected so far (AJK 7356, Balochistan 17466, GB 4732, ICT 32816, KP 49676, Punjab 123762, Sindh 184486)

Pakistan has recorded 8398 deaths thus far.

Currently, 3094 patients are admitted in 616 COVID-19 facilities in the country.
