Pakistan registers 1,502 new COVID-19 cases, 57 casualties

The country's death toll climbed to 12,185 after 57 people succumbed to the deadly disease

In the last 24 hours, 1,502 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 57 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Sindh.

As of February 11, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 30,255. Yesterday, 37,452 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 11,015; Punjab: 13,333; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 7,066; Islamabad: 4,747; Balochistan: 473; Gilgit-Baltistan: 360 and Azad Kashmir: 458.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 267 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB and Balochistan.

A total of 559,093 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 9,334; Balochistan: 18,898; GB: 4,923; ICT: 42,279, KPK: 68,972; Punjab: 162,391 and Sindh: 252,296.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 12,185 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 4,982 casualties followed by Sindh: 4,171; KPK: 1,976; Islamabad: 481; Balochistan: 197; GB: 102 and AJK: 276.

631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,189 patients being treated. Till now, Pakistan has conducted 8,325,543 tests.
