In the last 24 hours, 1,245 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 40 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Sindh.
As of February 19, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 24,139. Yesterday, 34,754 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 10,863; Punjab: 12,049; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 6,430; Islamabad: 3,456; Balochistan: 725; Gilgit-Baltistan: 467 and Azad Kashmir: 764.
Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 241 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB and Balochistan.
A total of 568,506 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 9,673; Balochistan: 18,967; GB: 4,947; ICT: 43,145, KPK: 70,493; Punjab: 166,242 and Sindh: 255,039.
Till now, Pakistan has recorded 12,527 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 4,267 casualties followed by Sindh: 5,166; KPK: 2,020; Islamabad: 488; Balochistan: 199; GB: 102 and AJK: 285.
631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,168 patients being treated. Till now, Pakistan has conducted 8,602,515 tests.
