Pakistan records 1,786 new COVID-19 cases, 43 fatalities

Pakistan has recorded a total of 565,216 COVID-19 recoveries so far.

In the last 24 hours, 1786 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 43 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC).

As of March 10, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 16,699. Yesterday, 39,425 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 7,499; Punjab:15,260; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP):6,012; Islamabad(ICT):9,240; Balochistan:520; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB):264 and Azad Kashmir(AJK):630.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 227 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB, and Balochistan. Pakistan has recorded a total of 565,216 recoveries so far.

A total of 595,239 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 10673; Balochistan:19141; GB:4959; ICT:46229, KPK:74433; Punjab:179654 and Sindh:260150.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 13324 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 5629 casualties followed by Sindh:4442; KPK:2122; Islamabad: 512; Balochistan: 202; GB: 103 and AJK: 314.

631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,118 patients being treated across the country. A total of 9,318,038 tests have been conducted so far.
