Pakistan records 1,519 COVID-19 cases, 64 fatalities

As of March 4, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 17,117.

In the last 24 hours, 1519 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 64 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Sindh.

As of March 4, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 17,117. Yesterday, 40,473 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 9,052; Punjab:16,875; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP):6,857; Islamabad(ICT):5,766; Balochistan:771; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB):392 and Azad Kashmir(AJK):760.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 211 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB and Balochistan.

A total of 585,435 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 10371; Balochistan:19084; GB:4957; ICT:44921, KPK:73007; Punjab:174191 and Sindh:258904.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 13076 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 5480 casualties followed by Sindh:4388; KPK:2096; Islamabad: 503; Balochistan: 200; GB: 102 and AJK: 307.

631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 1,994 patients being treated across the country. A total of 9,097,413 tests have been conducted so far.
