Meanwhile, at least 282 ventilators are occupied across Pakistan, while 2,494 people are in critical condition, as per the NCOC.
The country’s caseload climbed to 945,184 after 1,119 more people tested positive for the deadly virus during this period. The new infections emerged when 37,196 tests were conducted during the said period.
Meanwhile, parts of Pakistan are facing shortage of vaccines. In Lahore, at least two vaccination centres were shut down earlier this week due to the shortage of vaccines. PM health aide Dr Faisal Sultan said that the shortage was temporary and by 20th, vaccines will be readily available.
