Pakistan announce 17-member squad for first South Africa Test

On Sunday, Pakistani selectors confirmed the 17-man contingent for the first Test against South Africa starting January 26. The three players left out will remain with the side and will continue their training sessions at the National Stadium Karachi.

Salman Ali Agha, Kamran Ghulam and Abdullah Shafique are the three players dropped. The final eleven will be selected by the captain after consulting the coaches.

Squad:

Abid Ali, Imran Butt, Azhar Ali, Babar Azam (captain), Fawad Alam, Saud Shakeel, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan (vice-captain), Sarfaraz Ahmed, Nauman Ali, Sajid Khan, Yasir Shah, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Tabish Khan.
