The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) on Monday allowed indoor dining for vaccinated persons.
The meeting was chaired by Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar and co-chaired by national coordinator Lt Gen Hamood-Uz-Zaman Khan to review the coronavirus situation and non-pharmaceutical interventions in the country.
According to the statement issued by NCOC, from July 1 onwards, indoor dining will be allowed until 11:59 pm, subject to 50 per cent occupancy. It was added that restaurants and hotel management would have to set up a system to verify the vaccination status of customers and ensure vaccination of their staff.
In regards to commercial and business activities, the forum decided on an extension until 10 pm. Essential services would continue 24/7 operation.
The management of wedding halls is similarly ordered to set up a system to check attendees’ vaccination certificates and ensure staff vaccination. In addition, up to 200 vaccinated individuals would be allowed for indoor weddings.
In addition, Cinema halls are allowed to reopen until 1 am for vaccinated individuals only.
Subject to strict Covid-19 SOPs, Shrines have also been allowed to reopen at the discretion of federating units and local administration.
NCOC would continue to enforce NPIs and monitor the Covid-19 hotspot to implement lockdown wherever necessary.
