Minar-e-Pakistan flooded by PHA, FIRs registered against 1100 PML-N members ahead of PDM’s Lahore rally

LAHORE: The police registered First Information Reports (FIRs) in three different police stations of city division Lahore against Maryam Nawaz and Talal Choudhry, along with 1100 other PML-N leaders and workers, for violations of lockdown measures and use of loud speakers.

On Monday evening PML-N conducted rally, lead by Maryam Nawaz, from Shahdra to the Yadgar chowk to motivate people of the city for the upcoming Pakistan Democratic Movement Rally (PDM) rally on December 13.

A total of seven FIRS were registered in the city division‘s police stations. According to these FIRs Maryam Nawaz and other PML-N members did not implement coronavirus SOPs and also violated the Loudspeaker Act of 2015. So far no arrests have been made.

On other hand Parks and Horticulture Authority of Punjab start watering different areas of Minar-e-Pakistan, leading to flooding in some sections of the park.

The PHA explains that this was a routine watering for the ground grass, but PML- N leadership alleges that it is a underhand attempt by the government at stopping PDM’s Jalsa on Sunday.
