An old picture of the youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai and her husband Asser Malik is doing the rounds on social media after Shahrukh Khan’s life-size cardboard cut-out was photoshopped into it.
Malala and Asser on Tuesday got married after a two-year relationship in Birmingham. Earlier, Asser had shared the picture with Shah Rukh’s cut-out featured in it, as he wished Malala for her 24th birthday. He captioned the picture, “Happy Birthday to the most amazing @Malala. @iamsrk had to make a necessary cameo of course.

Malala has expressed her love for the Bollywood actor and being a fangirl she also invited Shahrukh Khan to Oxford University during the time she was enrolled there as a student.
The cut-out was gifted to Malala as a birthday present by a friend.
Malala had shared the news of her nikkah on social media as she wrote “Today marks a precious day in my life. Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families. Please send us your prayers. We are excited to walk together for the journey ahead.”
Malala belongs to the Swat Valley in Pakistan. She is an advocate of women’s right to education. She was 15 when she was shot by the Taliban after defying the ban on girls’ education.
