Lahore’s Old City put under lockdown

Following the imposition of smart lockdowns across many localities of Lahore during the past week, new lockdowns were imposed on areas surrounding the Old City on Saturday.

Most of the Old City is under lockdown, with areas such as Lohari Gate, Bhaati Gate, and Sheranwala Gate falling under the new restrictions.

Punjab Secretary of Health said: “We are enforcing smart lock downs in the areas where cases of COVID-19 are reported to be high. Shopping malls, restaurants and offices will remain closed in these areas.”

On Wednesday, smart lockdowns were imposed on Data Ganj Bakhsh Town, Shalimar Town, Samanabad Town, Aziz Bhatti Town, Allama Iqbal Town, along with various other localities.
