The Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Ali Sulaiman Al-Saeed, is due to arrive in Pakistan today. The diplomat will be meeting with civil and military leadership in Islamabad, according to sources. He is likely to meet with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Dr Arif Alvi.
The meeting is expected to discuss Pakistan’s recent cooperation with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), as well as initiatives to enhance Kuwait and Pakistan’s economic ties. Kuwait has also been eager to enhance military to military ties with Pakistan.
Additionally, the meeting will discuss the gulf state’s recent procurement of 100,000 Pakistani doctors in Kuwait, and address the concerns of Pakistani diaspora residing in Kuwait.
