No Time To Die James bond Daniel Craig is set to be honored with his very own spot on the Hollywood walk of Fame.
The Hall of Fame’s producer Ana Martinez announced the news.
A short statement read, “Daniel Craig is a British cultural icon, as is James Bond, the man he has portrayed in five 007 films.”
“We are thrilled to place his terrazzo Walk of Fame star next to the star of another famed actor who also portrayed James Bond, Roger Moore. Fans will be thrilled when they see that their stars are appropriately located at 7007 Hollywood Boulevard.”
Earlier, on the eve of the release of the latest Bond movie ‘No Time To Die’, Craig was made an honorary commander in the Royal Navy of Britain, matching the rank he played as James Bond in the fictional film.
Britain’s highest-ranking naval officer, First Sea Lord Admiral Tony Radakin said that he was “delighted” to give the honor to the actor, who has played 007 since 2006.
Craig announced he was leaving the franchise with ‘No Time To Die’ marking the end to his tenure as the famed British secret agent.
At the time, Craig said that he had thought the movie ‘Spectre’ concluded his journey as the iconic James Bond.
Daniel Craig said, “I didn’t think that I was going to do another movie after Spectre. I genuinely thought that I was going to … just pack it in,”.
“But I’m so happy that I got the chance to come and do this one. And we tied up lots of loose ends. We’ve tried to tell one story with all my Bond movies. It’s like they’re all connected in some way and this one just sort of capped it off.”
Talking about his experience ever since his first Bond movie in 2006 titled Casino Royale, Daniel Craig said “I enjoyed them all … They’re always a bit of a struggle but anything worthwhile is always a bit of a struggle so this was a joy to make… massively grateful to have been given the chance to do it and … all of the memories and all the amazing times … working with just fantastic, amazing people … it’s changed my life … It’s just amazing.”
In a short video doing the rounds on social media platforms, a sentimental-looking Craig is seen addressing the cast and crew of the Bond franchise. Bidding farewell to the iconic character he said “And a lot of people here worked on all five pictures with me and I know there’s a lot of things said about what I think about these films or all of those whatever. But I’ve loved every single second of these movies, especially this one because I’ve got up every morning, and I’ve had the chance to work with you guys and that has been one of the greatest honors of my life.”
‘No Time To Die’ premiered last Tuesday.
