Jacinda Arden wins 2nd term in election

 New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern secured a landslide victory on Saturday. She will be the prime minster of News Zealand for three more years.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern’s liberal Labour Party secured 49% of the vote compared to 27% for its rival, the conservative National Party.

Her popularity soared this year after she had successful eradicated coronavirus. Peopleare no longer erquired to wear masks or social distance in New Zealand.

In her victory speech , Ardern said she will govern for all New Zealanders. “This has not been an ordinary election, and it’s not an ordinary time. It’s been full of uncertainty and anxiety, and we set out to be an antidote to that.”

“We are living in an increasingly polarized world, a place where, more and more, people have lost the ability to see one another’s point of view,” she told her supporters.
