Islamabad: Ministry of Education bans on-campus activities in private schools

"All kinds of on-campus activities including tests/mid terms being currently conducted are hereby banned," the notification stated.

The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training clamped down on all on-campus activities in Islamabad’s private schools. According to the notification released by the Ministry, all private educational institutions of Islamabad will remain closed till April 11, 2021.

“All kinds of on-campus activities including tests/mid terms being currently conducted are hereby banned,” the notification stated.

“All private educational institutions are advised to ensure compliance in true letter and spirit,” it added.

This announcement comes amid a plethora of other restrictions in the wake of COVID-19’s raging third wave. Earlier, the Punjab government made wearing face masks for people mandatory in public while the the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) proposed a complete ban on all wedding ceremonies in Punjab from April 5 till Eid.
