The Islamabad High Court has ordered the removal of former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) director general retired Lt Gen Asad Durrani’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL), stating that he has the “same rights” as a common citizen does as “enshrined in the constitution”.
There is no inquiry that is currently ongoing against Gen Rtd Asad Durrani, added the IHC.
“He was a three star general, he has rights under the constitution, his name should be removed from ECL,” said the court, adding that there is “no ground on which his name should be kept on ECL”.
