Hasan Ali to miss remainder of PSL 6 due to personal reasons

Islamabad United fast-bowler Hassan Ali will miss the remaining games of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) due to family concerns and will return to Pakistan.

“I want to say to all Islamabad United fans, unfortunately due to personal reasons I have to pull out of the remaining PSL matches. Some things are more important than cricket and nothing is more important than family. I am thankful to Islamabad United for their support and understanding. This team truly is a family that stands with you through thick and thin. I wish the team very best of luck for the remaining PSL matches,” said Ali in a press release issued by United.

Meanwhile, Islamabad United Owner, Ali Naqvi, backed Ali’s decision while stating that family always comes first.

“Unfortunately Hassan will be leaving the group in the coming days. He has been a great leader and performer for the franchise this season, but we have always had the belief in Islamabad United that our professional commitments are subservient to our personal commitments. When we say we are a family we truly mean it, and nothing is more important to a person than his family. We wish Hassan the best of luck, and we wholeheartedly support this decision,” said Naqvi.

Islamabad United Captain, Shadab Khan, said: “We understand Hassan’s situation right now, family always comes first. We wish Hassan the very best of luck. He will obviously be a huge loss to our team and the tournament, but some things are more important than cricket. At Islamabad United we have always looked after each other like a family and we will continue to do so.”

Hasan Ali’s departure will surely leave a hug gap in the playing eleven as he has been impressive with both bat and ball. A few days back, United’s all rounder Faheem Ashraf got injured and will not be able to play next few games for his franchise.

Peshawar Zalmi’s three overseas player to leave franchise tomorrow

Three overseas players David Miller, Fabien Allen and Fidel Edwards will leave the side tomorrow. All three players will fly to the Caribbean where South Africa and West Indies are scheduled to play five-match T20I series, starting from June 26.

On the other hand, Quetta Gladiators’ Andre Russell and Multan Sultans’ Shimron Hetmyer will also leave their respective sides.

It must be noted that two matches will be played in Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six today. Lahore Qalandars will take on Islamabad United while Peshawar Zalmi will face Multan Sultans.
