Germany has become the first team to qualify for the upcoming 2022 World Cup joining hands with the hosts Qatar with an impressive victory in North Macedonia.

The 18-year-old ex-Chelsea academy graduate Jamal Musiala opened his account for the Germans as he ran in on goal and struck a confident 4th goal of Germany, sealing the match 4-0 to his side.

On a run of four straight wins under Flick, Germany was rarely troubled in the match. Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich went desperately close with a header from a corner inside the opening two minutes, but North Macedonia goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski was able to push his effort away.

Muller flicked a header wide before Sergio Gnabry tested Dimitrievski twice. Werner followed suit soon after and went closer still on the stroke of half-time with a shot against the foot of the near post.

Kai Havertz claimed the first goal in the second half, finding the net from Thomas Muller’s unselfish pass across the opponent’s goal.

Timo Werner smashed the second following Muller’s superb flick and also curled in a delightful third.

The Germans could have had more, but Chelsea forward Werner hit the post with a thumping low drive on the stroke of halftime but managed to score twice as his side got the job done with clinical finishing after the break.

It will be a night to remember for Former England youth international Musical, who played 19 times for various England youth teams but declared to play for Germany through his mother, as he netted a first senior goal on his ninth cap.

The four-time world champions, Hansi Flick’s men, reach the tournament for the 20th occasion, with only Brazil (21) appearing more times.

The Germans make it with two games to spare, with meetings against Liechtenstein and Armenia to come next month.
