The federal government has allocated Rs21 billion for the health sector while an allocation of Rs42bn has been made for education in the budget 2021.
The total volume of the federal development budget has been set at Rs900 billion. A total of Rs628 billion has been allocated for the federal ministries for their development and upgradation. The Aviation Division has been approved a development budget of Rs3.55 billion. A development budget of Rs3 billion has been approved for the Cabinet Division.
To tackle the climate change issues, a development budget of Rs14 billion has been allocated. Commerce Division to get Rs1.61 billion in budget while Rs9 billion has been set for the Ministry of Education and Training.
The Ministry of Finance to spend Rs42.45 billion for development. The Ministry of Human Rights to receive Rs270 million in the development budget. The Ministry of Industry and Production to spend Rs3 billion. A total of Rs240 million set for housing and construction. The development budget for the Ministry of Information will be Rs1.89 billion.
The Ministry of IT to spend Rs9.36 billion on development work while a budget of Rs3.73 billion has been set for inter-provincial liaison.
A total of Rs21 billion has been allocated for the Ministry of Interior. For development in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, a budget of Rs69 billion has been allocated. For the Ministry of Law and Justice, a budget of Rs4.95 billion has been allocated.
The Ministry of Shipping and Maritime Affairs will get Rs4 billion in the development budget. For the Ministry of Narcotics Control, a budget of Rs480 million has been proposed. A total of Rs21.72 billion development budget has been set for National Health Services while National Heritage and Culture Ministry will get Rs120 million.
A total of Rs590 million development budget allocated for social security. For the Ministry of Food Security, Rs12 billion have been allocated. There will be a development budget of Rs30 billion for the railway division. For the Ministry of Science and technology, Rs8 billion has been proposed.
A development budget of Rs103 billion has been allocated for water resources. National Highway Authority (NHA) has been given a budget of Rs113.75 billion. Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) will have a development budget of over Rs69 billion. To combat the COVID-19 pandemic and other emergencies, an allocation of Rs50 billion has been made.
