FC soldier martyred in cross-border attack from Afghanistan

A cross-border attack from Afghanistan leaves FC solider dead

Terrorists from inside Afghanistan fired across the international border on a military post in Mohmand District, in the Peshawar Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) revealed. In response, Pakistan troops responded promptly. However, during an exchange of fire, a Frontier Corps (FC) soldier, Sepoy Fazal Wahid, aged 25 years, was martyred after being fatally shot. He was a resident of Shangla, Swat.

“Pakistan strongly condemns the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for activities against Pakistan,” said Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He urged the Governemnt of Afghanistan to take ‘immediate action against the terrorists and terrorist groups finding sanctuaries in Afghanistan to target Pakistani security forces.’
