An explosion was heard near the Israeli embassy in New Delhi, with several cars being damaged. However, reports indicate that the incident had no injuries involved.
According to India’s ANI, the explosion appears to be of ‘low intensity’, while the nature of the explosion is yet to be determined.
“A very low-intensity improvised device went off at 5.05pm near 5 APJ Abdul Kalam Road near Jindal house. No injury to any person is there and nor any damage to property was witnessed, except window panes of three vehicles parked nearby,” the Delhi Police said in a statement, as reported by India Today.
The Israeli embassy is situated on Abdul Kalam Road in the heart of New Delhi. This incident has occurred on the day of India and Israel’s 29th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
