In the last 24 hours, 2,729 people tested positive for COVID-19 while 71 people lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC).
As of December 12, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan are 45,124. Yesterday, around 41,426 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 11,537; Punjab: 16,234; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 5,633; Islamabad: 6,695; Balochistan: 439; Gilgit Baltistan: 405 and Azad Kashmir: 483
Out of 1756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 355 vents are currently occupied. There is no patient on vent in Balochistan and GB.
A total of 435,056 cases detected so far (AJK 7620, Balochistan 17696, GB 4775, ICT 34300, KP 51404, Punjab 126526, Sindh 192735)
Till now, Pakistan has conducted 5,990,168 tests. Currently, 3,026 patients are being treated in 613 COVID-19 facilities in the country.
Pakistan has recorded 8,724 deaths thus far due to this deadly virus.
