On Monday, the Federal Minister for Planning and Special Initiatives and head of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) Asad Umar announced that registration process for citizens over the age of 65 has started from today and the vaccination drive will begin in March.
He took to Twitter and said, “Pleased to announce that registration for getting COVID vaccine is now open for all citizens 65 and above.”
Furthermore, he added that those who wish to get registered can send their National Identity Card number to 1166.
Pakistan began its vaccination drive in the start of February and plans to vaccinate at least 70% of its 220 million people free of cost.
