In the last 24 hours, Pakistan recorded 23 fatalities due to COVID-19 while 901 people tested positive, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Sindh.
As of June 27, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 32,241. On Sunday, 44,544 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 11,903; Punjab: 18,528; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 9,605; Islamabad(ICT): 2,848; Balochistan: 748; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB): 327 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 585.
Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 253 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB, and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 900,291 recoveries.
A total of 954,743 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 20,212; Balochistan: 27,003; GB: 5,984; ICT: 82,565, KP: 137,628; Punjab: 345,796 and Sindh: 335,555.
Till now, Pakistan has recorded 22,211 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 10,721 casualties followed by Sindh: 5,410 KP: 4,304; Islamabad: 776; Balochistan: 307; GB: 111 and AJK: 582.
639 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,197 patients being treated across the country. A total of 14,416,394 tests have been conducted so far in the country since the pandemic started.
