In the last 24 hours, Pakistan recorded 37 deaths while 1,050 people tested positive for COVID-19, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Sindh.
As of June 20, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 33,972. On Monday, 41,065 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 10,825; Punjab: 17,025; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 9,222; Islamabad(ICT): 2,443; Balochistan: 693; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB): 385 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 472.
Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 292 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB, and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 892,319 recoveries.
A total of 942,189 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 19,934; Balochistan: 26,585; GB: 5,803; ICT: 82,344, KP: 136,973; Punjab: 344,970 and Sindh: 331,659.
Till now, Pakistan has recorded 21,977 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 10,633 casualties followed by Sindh: 5,372 KP: 4,262; Islamabad: 775; Balochistan: 301; GB: 108 and AJK: 571.
639 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,591 patients being treated across the country. A total of 13,818,039 tests have been conducted so far in the country since the pandemic started.
