COVID-19: Pakistan records 1,893 cases, 83 deaths

In the last 24 hours, Pakistan recorded 83 deaths while 1,893 people tested positive for COVID-19, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Sindh.

As of June 4, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 51,478. On Sunday, 52,859 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 15,741; Punjab: 21,908; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 8,255; Islamabad(ICT): 4,319; Balochistan: 1,655; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB): 354 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 627.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 430 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB, and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 908,576 recoveries.

A total of 928,588 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 19,388; Balochistan: 25,476; GB: 5,623; ICT: 81,540, KP: 133,746; Punjab:341,390 and Sindh: 321,425.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 21,105 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 10,184 casualties followed by Sindh: 5,089 KP: 4,125; Islamabad: 763; Balochistan: 287; GB: 107 and AJK: 549.

639 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 3,846 patients being treated across the country. A total of 13,367,920 tests have been conducted so far in the country since the pandemic started.
