Coronavirus pandemic: PM Imran expresses solidarity with India

Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed solidarity with the people of India as the country is in the grip of deadly coronavirus pandemic wave.

The prime minister took to twitter and prayed for the recovery of those suffering from the coronavirus in India and the world.

“I want to express our solidarity with the people of India as they battle a dangerous wave of COVID-19. Our prayers for a speedy recovery go to all those suffering from the pandemic in our neighbourhood & the world. We must fight this global challenge confronting humanity together,” tweeted Prime Minister Imran.

The COVID-19 situation in India has been getting worse with every passing day as it reported 346,786 more coronavirus infections in a single day on Saturday, according to Indian Ministry of health.

The states of Maharashtra, Kerala, Delhi, Karnataka, UP, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal are the worst-hit states.

The total coronavirus cases have surged to 16,610,481.
