A Pakistan Army officer was martyred and two troops suffered injuries in an IED attack on Sunday, said and ISPR press release.
A security forces vehicle struck an IED planted by terrorists in Tobo, Gichik Balochistan, “as a result of which Capt Kashif embraced shahadat while two soldiers got injured,” said the ISPR.
The injured soldiers have been evacuated to a medical facility at Khuzdar.
IBO OPERATION: Meanwhile, security forces conducted an IBO on the reported presence of terrorists in Boya, North Waziristan, on Sunday.
During the exchange of fire, one terrorist was killed. The security forces recovered arms and ammunition from the custody of the terrorist.
A thorough search of the area is under process to eliminate any other terrorists, siad the ISPR.
