By-election polling underway on four seats in KP, Punjab

The seats being contested are NA-75 Sialkot-IV Daska, PP-51 Gujranwala I, NA-45 Kurram I, and PK-63 Nowshera III.

Polling for by-elections on four vacant national and provincial assembly seats is underway today.

The seats being contested are NA-75 Sialkot-IV Daska, PP-51 Gujranwala I, NA-45 Kurram I, and PK-63 Nowshera III. The seats were rendered vacant due to the deaths of their former occupants.

According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), polling will continue until 5pm without break.

Earlier this week, by-polls took place for the vacant seats in Malir’s PS-88, Sanghar’s PS-43, Pishin’s PB-20 constituencies. Pakistan People’s Party emerged victorious in Malir and Sangar, while a Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) candidate won the seat in Pishin.
